What is Modeling?

What is Modeling?

Modeling is a teaching technique in which the teacher demonstrates a desired behavior or response to a learner.  In ABA, modeling is often used to teach communication and social skills (such as pronunciation, intonation, gestures, facial expressions, phrasing), play skills (such as sharing, handing off and receiving toys gently, taking turns), self-help skills (such as hand-washing, eating with a fork, brushing teeth), and more!
